The notion that we are all just emanations of a single blob consciousness, with no actual individual nature, has always bothered the $#@% out of me.

I am ME. Why are people trying to take that away from me? And why are they saying they are more spiritually advanced than I, simply because they reject the notion of individual uniqueness?

Right?! Something very ooky about the notion of "oneness" as it is so often presented. Not surprised that a fellow anarchist would see it that way spiritually, too, though ...! ;)

I think a lot of people want the blob because of a sense of alienation and loneliness. Perhaps the thought of the blob is a source of comfort…
