Indeed.
I actually have another SubStack account.
I may eventually wind up merging the two, but I suspect not. There may be good reason to keep them separate, though I’m done hiding and have no interest in engaging in mind games, so I intend to keep the fact that they are linked (eg, both mine) completely transparent. The content of the articles may differ slightly, however, as will the degree of personal content, I suspect. That said:
I am the Amerikan Werewolf. The Amerikan Werewolf is Prometheus. (Perhaps that’s the name of my spaceship!)
And now, without further ado, here, again, is the most important article that I have written to date.
Everything, Part I: On the Importance of Discernment
One of the chief things that any writer is supposed to do before beginning a work is to ascertain his or her intended audience. The answer, in this case, is, “I don’t actually know yet.” Put another way, my intended audience is, “Whomever wishes to read what I have written.” I do not know with whom this subject will resonate most profoundly, but I trust that whomever it does connect to is the one who is intended to read it. If this reaches only one person, and results in some turn of good in his or her life, then my efforts will have been worthwhile. If you believe that this person could be you, please read on. The following article may not be the most interesting thing that I ever write, but I believe it to be one of the most crucial.
This is going to be, in some sense, one big long disclaimer. What I wish to impress upon my readership is that it is not merely a disclaimer for my own writings – though it certainly is that – but for literally anything and everything you will ever read about spirituality of any kind, anywhere, period, be it an ancient and revered text or the half-cocked musings of an anonymous typist on the Internet. My original intention for this series was to delve headlong into the waters of a vast and complex world of spirituality, with a focus on certain specific sources and the technicalities of their content — ultimately, my goal was and is to use my scientific background to try to help illuminate and expound upon some very heavy but ultimately useful “spiritual” concepts so that they may reach a wider audience. Before I discuss even the most rudimentary of these concepts, however, I have realized the necessity to take a step back and discuss the profound importance of discernment first and foremost.
Discernment can be a touchy topic in the world of the spiritual community, for there is a nuance to it that walks the line between closed-minded, knee-jerk skepticism and naive acceptance. Which direction one veers towards will of course depend upon ones biases and experiences and, of course, on the source of information itself; I must, however, reiterate that every source deserves at least some measure of personal discernment, no matter how seemingly legitimate or commonly accepted it may be. The advantage to the seeker of information pertaining to matters of the spirit is that, unlike the so-called “hard” news stories and scientific articles of the so-called “real” (actually shadow) world, spiritual information is subject to a strict and simple accuracy test intrinsic in each individual’s personal guidance system. This system is not only the most accurate when attempting to discern the value of a piece of information or conjecture but is, in fact, the only thing that truly matters to that given individual. I am of course referencing here that oft-repeated phrase: “Follow your heart.” This is not only the best course of action but the only true course of action for matters of the spirit; unfortunately, it is, as are many things, sometimes easier said than done.
It is well for anyone to recall that, no matter what one is reading on this Planet Earth, if one is reading it, it was written by Human Beings. Every work, no matter how holy, was transcribed by a Human hand, and this simple fact is one that is very often forgotten. It is most obviously forgotten, even vehemently denied, by devotees of a certain popular book or two; although I do welcome any Bible scholars in the audience, it’s come to my attention that they are probably a lost cause, at least those who accept said works with the dangerously blind devotion that has so utterly tarnished its name. This blind spot isn’t unique to Bible-thumpers, however, as the Human element is also conveniently forgotten by some of the modern spiritualist circles that read and study the channeled words of alleged extraterrestrials. Given that the focus of this serious is to be more towards the latter (aliens) than the former (The Bible), I want to emphasize that point in more detail.
To the uninitiated, it probably seems screamingly obvious that the words of supposed extraterrestrials should be taken with a solid grain of salt; however, it’s impressive how quickly devotees of this material become blind to its medium (that is, a Human channel). This does not mean that it is all made-up hokum, however. It is possible to believe that these channels are sincere, and that contact is being made, yet still practice discernment when reading their words. Interestingly, the aliens themselves — the trustworthy ones, anyway, or those who might be worth listening to — will always emphasize this point repeatedly. All readers or listeners are advised to exercise their discernment. There are many good reasons for this. Information may be mistranslated by the channel. Even if translated correctly, it may be misinterpreted by the listener. Even if interpreted correctly, it simply may not apply to that individual.
This great Universe is extraordinarily complex. Even the most basic of truths may not resonate to every individual at every moment in time, and some truths may not be as Universal as they seem. This applies both to the ancient sources, and to the most modern of channels.
The ancient texts are by far the most familiar sources of spiritual insight, but where do the more “modern” ideas come from? There are many sources, especially now that the Internet is a thing; most of them are, quite frankly, pretty much garbage. Of those that are worthwhile in my opinion, the Ra Contact is one of the best, and it is also the most well known. This contact was the result of experiments undertaken by a group called L/L Research, beginning in the 1970s and continuing to this day. Published as a series of physical books under the title The Law of One, the Ra contact is, by far, the most extensive and valuable of the channeled messages.
There is one Internet source that I will also mention, if only because it is this information that often leads seekers of truth to read the Ra contact — myself included. This is a document that is commonly referred to the Hidden-Hand material, and it is nothing more than the compilation of a thread made on an obscure forum called Above Top Secret in 2008. At that time, a user named Hidden-Hand appeared who claimed to be a member of a top-secret elite class of individuals whose bloodlines secretly rule the Earth. His appearance on this obscure forum was, he said, an attempt at some small degree of disclosure as to “what’s really going on.” The veracity of the Hidden-Hand material – that is, whether or not the user was who he claimed to be – is highly questionable. I for one do not believe that he was one of these so-called “elite;” however, I do believe that he has, somehow, a modest understanding of how things operate, above and beyond the understanding of the average spiritual seeker, and that some majority of the information is fairly accurate to some degree. I do not for a moment believe that it is entirely accurate, and indeed, the user gives a hint about this to anyone paying attention. He tells readers, quite directly, that any source that gives specific information as far as predictions and dates is lying to its audience. He then goes on to give such specifics, which did not come to pass on the dates he gave. Now, the guy was obviously not an idiot. I believe that this sprinkling of falsehoods was intentional, put in as a reminder to his readers to use discernment.
The above is key, sufficiently so that I am going to state it again, in a different way. Those who seek spiritual insight are, with few exceptions, looking to walk the positive path. Although not everyone agrees upon what this path looks like, it is safe to say that those who seek a negative path in any real and meaningful capacity are not going to do so by reading online forums and discussing it with others. The truly powerful negative path is a difficult one, but one that is fairly well outlined for those who seek it. Its rites and rituals are becoming more and more well-known to the general public. The path of the positive seeker is one of true freedom; this freedom involves, and indeed requires, a much more individuated journey. The negative path does not like the positive one; therefore, the positive seeker may find him or herself occasionally befuddled by negative influences that attempt to confound those who would seek positive enlightenment. One of the primary methods of negative befuddlement is the contamination of positive information with lies.
Any source that gives specific dates is lying. Likewise, any source whose message claims that only you, the one reading it, are special and intelligent enough to hear it, is lying. Period. Full-stop. Both of these rules are hard and fast ones, and these sources are negatively contaminated. They exist to make the positive seekers look stupid to their peers, and to cause others to turn away from their information when it fails to come true.
I actually know someone outside of the Internet who reads that crap rabidly, so I got to see the horrid effects of reading such material long before I even knew that it existed. For years now, she has come into the place where I work believing that this week is the Big One. For years. She is always wrong. She is not wrong in all of her information, but because she is so consistently wrong about the specific dates of these supposed operations, I would never believe her about anything. The negative influence of the material that she reads has taken its toll in other ways as well. She is not a well person. Over time, she has continued to deteriorate in appearance and mannerisms, and she is, quite frankly, the very picture of a paranoid crazy — a rather sad state for the end of one’s life, as this woman is old, and hasn’t a lot of time left, especially not at the rate she’s going. She appears to be a hopeless case — there’s no talking any sense into her; she only claims that you aren’t as smart as she is, and that she’s the special one who understands. To this day, despite years of false predictions, she still believes the crap that she continues to read, and she does so because it strokes her ego. She is an extreme example, a cautionary tale, but it’s disturbing just how easy it is to get snookered. Without powerful discernment, it’s possible for any of us to go that route, or at least to glance down it for a time.
The future is uncertain. We each write our own future as we live our present. The future cannot, therefore, be predicted with any degree of accuracy. There is a grand cycle that now draws to a close; we know this, but we do not even know specifics as to the time-frame. We cannot even begin to know the details surrounding the changes that are to come.
How does one read with discernment? Slowly, perhaps, or perhaps not – it will vary. In my case, I skim, and if something resonates – that is, if I get a “true” feeling in my chest, like a humming – I keep reading. If something feels “wrong” – to me, that feels like a buzzing, a dragging feeling almost like nausea – I read with extreme caution. (Incidentally, I try to use the same process when writing about this material; when writing, it is even more visceral and physical.) I read with caution either way, but if I’m getting the intuitive sense of, “Danger! Bogus info ahead,” I read with a great mental wall in place that is not nearly so thick if my intuitive sense tells me that I am reading the truth, and need to keep my mind more open. Perhaps the greatest tell of all is how a given piece of writing makes me feel after having read it. How does it sit? (I do not watch videos, but I would assume that the process is much the same for this format.)
The Hidden-Hand document, as odd as it was, quite naturally gave me an odd sort of feeling – but it was not a bad feeling. It was simply odd. Another document, similar in nature, gave me a rather unpleasant feeling each time I finished reading it for the night. Claiming to be a 10-year follow-up to the Hidden-Hand material, something about this newer and less well-known piece gave off a somewhat “hinky” vibe. I put a link to it on my original ‘blog post, but at this point, a few months later, I don’t even feel comfortable doing that. I now believe it to be too contaminated to be worthwhile.
The Internet abounds with information of all kinds. I could link to dozens of pages that purport to describe the True Reality around us, built around principals that are similar to those that I'm going to describe here. Of those, I have so far only found one that resonates, and, as I only just found it yesterday thanks to a reader here, I’m not going to discuss it yet — I need to sit with it for awhile. Everything else, all of the other myriad sites, just feel too weird to me. There may be truth to be gleaned from them, but it is surrounded by too much crazy for me to want to venture there long. (For an Immortal Werewolf on a Magic Spaceship to call these sites “weird” and “crazy,” you know that they must be pretty bad.)
How easy is it to get something wrong? Well, I will end with an example, something profoundly fundamental to the topic of this discussion, and that is the name of the book: The Law of One. What does that refer to, exactly? Well …
On its surface, we might suppose that the term “The Law of One” refers to the stated fact that all is one, a principal central to these teachings; that is to say, the concept that all things are one, that there is, in fact, only one thing, only one being, and that being is all that there is (some might call this Oneness, God). If you believed this interpretation of this term, you would be in good company. L/L Research publishes a “concept guide” in which they offer their interpretations of the principals expounded upon by the entities with which they have made contact, including Ra. In it, the “Law of One” is defined in this manner. It seems intuitively obvious — so obvious, in fact, that it’s difficult to imagine anybody questioning something so fundamental.
Somebody did.
In the course of my Internet spiritual rabbit-hole jumping – after having read all five printed books of the Law of One, as well as an enormous amount of online commentary thereafter – I stumbled one morning upon a very interesting thread on a now-archived Law of One forum. The thread topic was something about Ra's time in Egypt. I almost did not click on this thread, because the topic of Ra’s involvement in Egypt has never been of great interest to me; however, that particular morning I was moved to click on the thread. There, I found a rather startling suggestion – a wholly unexpected one.
Evidently, according to some sources, the title “The Law of One” is essentially a mistranslation of sorts. In a literal sense, it is translated correctly, but its common interpretation is incorrect. The word “One” is generally understood to be a numeral — that is, One, as refers to the concept of One Being or Oneness. This, the thread suggests, is not entirely accurate. One is, rather, to be understood as a subject pronoun – that is, the Law of One, as in, “The Law of [interpreted by] One Individual” — that individual, I assume, being Ra. In other words, I believe that another way to state this is that the “Law of One” is, in essence, supposed to be translated as, “Ra’s Law” — “The Law of One Named Ra.”
Now, for one who has read the material and become familiar with the entity named Ra, it is extremely easy to see why that entity would have chosen not to call it “Ra’s Law;” Ra is nothing if not profoundly humble. Indeed, Ra insisted that the books be titled, The Law of One: by Ra, an Humble Messenger of the Law of One, rather than the original title, “The Ra Material,” which placed what Ra felt was undue emphasis on its own being. In changing the title, however, the emphasis on the concept that the “Law” being transmitted was their own unique interpretation of the greater Universal laws was essentially lost. The term and concept The Law of One became synonymous with the concept of a “Universal Law of Oneness,” in a sense, which may not quite have been Ra’s intention, either.
Does this have meaning? Does it change anything? Perhaps, perhaps not – it may yet be that the concept of Oneness is sufficiently paramount that this subtle linguistic nuance is, in essence, meaningless, or trivial at best. It could even be that Ra intended it as a bit of a cosmic joke – that is, that the Law of One [named Ra] teaches, in essence, the Law of One [is all]. It is also possible, of course, that the user who posted this hypothesis is incorrect in his or her conclusions, which are based on translations of translations. Something about it resonated with me, however, so I feel it important enough to share. Additionally, regardless of what conclusions you may come to regarding this interpretation of verbiage, it is a tidy illustration that, when it comes to the spiritual, nothing can be taken for granted. Everything, even the most apparently fundamental fact, must be examined, questioned, and interpreted by the individual, for the individual. It is only then that the truth may emerge.
With that rather long treatsie over with, I feel that I may now safely continue to write and publish further works discussing Life, The Universe, and Everything, for I have done my due diligence in making it abundantly clear to anyone reading this that it is my interpretation alone, and that your interpretation will, by definition, vary from mine, and that is the beauty of the spiritual realm. If anyone tries to tell you otherwise, that is cause to exercise profound discernment indeed.
Here is a link to the Ra Material, published for free online by L/L Research. This is highly recommended reading.
So important, discernment.
It’s nice to come across someone else who has read the Hidden Hand material. I came across it long after it was published and by then it had faded into obscurity.
Doc Kitt,
Your friend that is always wrong sounds like she is demonically engaged. I suffered most of my adult life with a family demon and so does all my living family members on mother's side except younger sister - unless she has visited our mother for more than a few days. My older brother died from it, I believe.
It injects a belief that the person can somehow 'hear' unspoken thoughts and It whispers content. My younger brother sometimes can not listen to what I am saying directly and instead answers questions I did not ask, and forgets specific things I say (like - I left the keys in glove-compartment) even if I say it over and over again. The victim is enslaved by Pride and want of 'special' knowledge.
I managed to compensate those inflictions but stayed blind to some important things that caused me much confusion, frustration, and failures. About a decade ago the Holy Ghost stripped it from me and the clarity of my wasted frustrated life caused an Ego-Death - a kind of reboot. After that I converted to Traditional Catholicism and eventually learned Angelic Theology where I was able to understand what happened.
God Bless., Steve
